Do your relationships ever seem like that Bill Murray movie, “Ground Hog Day?” You know, where he wakes up in the morning and every day is exactly the same? Until he really wakes up and starts changing himself.

Everyone has a core wound that interferes with the full flowering of their potential. That core wound can interfere with their success, and it can interfere with their relationships.

Yours might even have contributed to the breakdown of your marriage. And, if you don’t get it handled, you could carry that wound into your next relationship and cause the same sort of breakdown.

The last thing anyone wants to do is to go poking around in their wounds — or admit that they might have a problem. But as Joseph Campbell, author of The Hero with a Thousand Faces, pointed out, the cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek.

It’s so important to explore your wounding if you want your life to get better. Im a teacher of writing, and writing can help you open up that door, get to the bottom of what’s troubling you, and heal it.

I’m going to be talking about this in my free call this coming Thursday, “Bounce Back From Your Divorce.” It’s specifically for women who have been through a devastating divorce are determined not to give up on themselves.
