Have you put your gifts and dreams on the back burner? When were you planning to return to them?

Yesterday I posted about abandonment issues. Yes, I have some, stemming from childhood medical trauma.

Many people have abandonment as a core wound without even knowing it. But even if you don’t think you have an issue with it, think about this: Are you moving on your gifts and dreams?

Because if you have a special talent that wants to be expressed or a dream that wants to be made a reality and you’re not doing anything about it, you’ve essentially abandoned those things.

And actually it means that you’ve abandoned a part of yourself. Those gifts and dreams deserve to be honored.

So what could you do to take a step in that direction? You want to paint? Have you signed up for a painting class? Have you even looked to see where they’re being offered?

Is there a special place on the planet where you’ve always wanted to travel? Have you made your reservation? Have you looked into how much it will cost? Have you started saving money?

It’s so true that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. So don’t kid yourself. If you want something to happen, you have to take that first step. Then it starts to become a reality.

So what could you start moving on today? Just take a baby step. Baby steps are great! Figure out your baby step and if you feel moved, write a comment below about what you’re going to do or have done.
